In April, FBO Experience together with its partners from Bizavnews went to the Seychelles to see what the Royal Jet - Air Seychelles FBO has to offer!
Several years ago, the largest Business Jet Operator from the UAE, Royal Jet, jointly with Air Seychelles opened its first FBO on the island. Air Seychelles in the joint project took over the commercial and operational management of the new FBO, called Air Seychelles VIP, which is focused solely on servicing business aviation. The clients are offered ground handling, Immigration and Customs procedures Fast Track , obtaining permits for flights, fuel supply, parking (up to 12 days), VIP meetings room and Meet & Greet service at departure, or to their helicopter transfer.
The new VIP-lounge is equipped with comfortable lounges, which simultaneously accommodate 55 guests. Also passengers can take advantage of free Wi-Fi, cable TV and VIP-catering. A separate lounge takes up VVIP-persons, including heads of state.
The FBO itself is located on the apron with the possibility of steering the aircraft directly to the terminal building. Once inside the FBO you can appreciate how the Designers were able to recapture the unique colonial atmosphere of the 18th century. Every corner of the FBO is a kind of oasis of silence and coolness. And although the passengers are here for a little time, there is a steady desire to stay in order to enjoy the real spirit of the Creole legends. Each lounge is equipped with all kinds of communication systems, so you can stay connected with the world without problems. Bedroom and a private bathroom are also available.
There are 10 parking places for business jets at the airport. Even BBJ777-300ER can be placed there. The airport serves up to 20 business aviation flights daily. In winter, this figure is significantly increased. However, they rarely delay. There are no problems with slots and parking and the cost of handling does not exceed the rates in European airports.
Here below is a collection of planes and FBO photos we took while there:
